The APC UPS BVX is a line-interactive, double-conversion, uninterruptible power supply with automatic voltage regulation (AVR) that provides battery backup and surge protection for personal computers, workstations, and telecommunications systems. Designed for medium-to-high power computer systems, the double-conversion feature means that the power conversion process is more efficient, requiring less energy and generating less heat than single-conversion designs. The AVR feature monitors line voltage and adjusts the UPS output accordingly, maintaining the output voltage within the specified range. The UPS also includes an IEC socket for connection to a standard IEC power outlet. The UPS can be operated in either battery-only or battery-and-line-interactive modes. The battery-only mode provides backup protection for computer systems that do not require continuous power. The battery-and-line-interactive mode enables the UPS to operate as a surge protector for computer systems that require both continuous power and backup protection. The UPS can be configured to provide a continuous output of 230 V AC or a continuous output of 120 V AC.
