Lenovo V130 Core i3 4GB 500GB 14″ DOS LaptopThis is one of our new laptops being launched this year. We use it as a desktop replacement for our CEO, who does a lot with Excel and Powerpoint. It has a 14″ LCD display with LED backlit, a solid state hard drive with Windows Vista Home Premium, and a decent keyboard and mouse. It has been on the market for a couple of months now and there have been some problems with some of the laptops that have shipped with it. We will fix the problems as they come up but we want to let you know about the problems that have been found so that you can decide if this is the right laptop for you. We have had our first reports of the laptop overheating. If the laptop is left on for a long period of time, the fan will turn on and start blowing air over the laptop. We have had a few reports of the laptop powering off when the lid is closed. We also have a few reports of the power cable coming in contact with the battery and shorting the battery. We have sent a couple of replacement power cables and have been able to isolate the problem to the power cable. We are working with the manufacturer to get a new batch of replacement power cables in the same configuration as previous shipments. We are also working with the supplier to see if they can identify the cause of the cable that shorted the battery. We will keep you informed
