This switch is embedded with two different software images – the Standard Image (SI) and Enhanced Image (EI). The Standard Image provides sophisticated features for campus or enterprise usage. The Enhanced Image supports all Standard Image features, in addition to advanced L3 features. With multiple software images, only the required features need to be purchased, providing a ﬂexible approach to software licensing.
